CBS Television to Feature HSR Racing

  November 16, 2018 - Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) teams and drivers will be featured on television this Thanksgiving Weekend in the premiere of "Trackside Time Machines" on the CBS Sports Network, a mini-series that will see all four episodes air consecutively Saturday, November 24, from 8 - 10 a.m. EST. Hosted by longtime automotive broadcast personality Bill Stephens, the four "Trackside Time Machines" episodes were filmed at this past April's 41st HSR Classic Motorsports Mitty presented by Hagerty at Road Atlanta. The "Trackside Time Machines" episodes combine to give viewers a "who's who" of HSR competitors and a look at some motorsports notables that participated in the 41st HSR Mitty, including Grand Marshal John Morton, NASCAR legend Bill Elliott and Hollywood funny man and automotive enthusiast Adam Carolla. Aghakhani To Race In Pirelli World Challenge

November 11, 2018 - 15-year-old Steven Aghakhani has chosen to race the AMG GT3 for the 2019 season. Aghakhani was approached by Porsche, BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini, but chose to transition to AMG for several races in the Pirelli World Challenge Series next year. The Southern California native will be co-driving with former Lamborghini champion Richard Antinucci as part of US RaceTronics expanded operation. Steven is proud to represent AMG for 2019 and is looking forward to competing in his new AMG GT3 car. Sheldon Creed To Drive Fulltime for GMS Racing

November 11, 2018— While at ISM Raceway (formerly Phoenix Raceway), Sheldon Creed announced that he will join GMS Racing, full-time next season. Creed will continue his climb through the NASCAR ranks, competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors during the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series (NGOTS) season.   Creed already has two truck series starts this year under the GMS Racing banner, making his series debuts at both Martinsville Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. J. R Todd Captures NHRA Funny Car Championship

November 12, 2018 -- J.R. Todd clinched his first career NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car world championship title during the first round of eliminations Sunday at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.   Matt Smith also won his third Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship at the final 2018 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event during eliminations on Sunday.  The race winners at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona were Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Todd (Funny Car), Tanner Gray (Pro Stock) and M. Tanner Gray Captures NHRA Pro Stock Championship

November 11, 2018 -- Pro Stock racer Tanner Gray became the youngest NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world champion by qualifying Saturday at the season ending Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.  During his championship season Gray notched seven victories including securing his first career win at the prestigious Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals win in Indianapolis. November 5, 2018 - One lucky racer will earn themselves $50,000 in just 90 minutes of racing as Mazda stages the 2018 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup Challenge at Sebring International Raceway next weekend.  A robust and diverse field of racers from around the globe, all utilizing the same Global Mazda MX-5 Cup machine, will take to Sebring for two 45-minute races.
