Moorespeed Ready for Eolex 24 Hour Race

January 23, 2019 – Final preparations have been made, and Moorespeed and the No. 19 CAG/Moorespeed Audi R8 LMS GT3 team have arrived at Daytona International Speedway from their Austin, Texas-based shop for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, January 24-27. The famed 24-hour race is the first round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship during IMSA’s 50th Anniversary season. Full-season GT Daytona (GTD)-class drivers Will Hardeman and Alex Riberas will be joined by motorsports veterans Andrew Davis and Markus Winkelhock for the season-opener on the 3.56-mile Daytona road course. Betty Rutherford Passes Away

Motorsports Mourns Passing Of Glen Wood

 January 18, 2019, by Kay Presto, www.carsandcompetition.com The motor racing world lost a great member with the passing of legendary NASCAR team owner and driver and NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Glen Wood, who died Jan. 18 at age 93: "Everyone at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is saddened by the passing of Glen Wood,” said Indianapolis Motor Speedway president E. Douglas Boles. “The word 'legendary' sometimes is overused, but it absolutely fits Glen and the team that he and his brother, Leonard, founded and built into a powerhouse in NASCAR. Wood Brothers Racing has such a deep, rich connection to IMS through its multiple entries in the Brickyard 400 and by serving as the pit crew for the Lotus/Ford that Jim Clark drove to victory in the 1965 Indianapolis 500. Robert Hight to Appear at St. Louis Auto Show

Moorespeed Completes IMSA tests

Go Fas Racing Signs Lajoie for NASCAR Cup

December 22, 2018 -- Go Fas Racing is proud to announce that Corey Lajoie has been signed as the driver of the No.32 Ford Mustang for the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. Alonso to Use Chevy Power in 2019 Indy 500

December 5, 2018 – Two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso will compete in the 2019 Indianapolis 500 in a McLaren Racing entry powered by Chevrolet’s 2.2 liter twin turbocharged direct injected V6 IndyCar engine. The Chevy power plant powered the defending winner of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, and three Indy 500 winners since its 2012 IndyCar Series introduction. “It will be a privilege to wear the Bowtie Brand at the 2019 Indy 500,” Alonso said. “Having Chevrolet power behind me means we’re putting ourselves in the best possible position to compete at the front.
