Kaulig Racing announced today that Ross Chastain will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) in 2019 with new partner, Nutrien Ag Solutions. Chastain, scheduled to compete for the championship in the Xfinity Series, will partner with Kaulig Racing and Nutrien Ag Solutions in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 16th. He will also pilot the No. 10 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet at Chicagoland Speedway (June 29th) and Texas Motor Speedway (November 2nd).
“I’m thrilled for this opportunity with Kaulig Racing,” said Chastain. “We’ve had quite the roller coaster of emotions in the off-season, but I am really looking forward to competing for wins this season. It is also a great honor to have a new sponsor on board with Nutrien Ag Solutions. Partnering with Nutrien Ag Solutions is a natural fit for me with my family’s legacy as watermelon farmers, and I’m excited to represent their growers and employees.”
Kaulig Racing enters their fourth season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Ramping up their stable this season, Kaulig Racing has added a second entry, the No. 10 Chevy. With one race and an eighth-place finish under its belt, the second car will run a partial schedule during the 2019 NXS season. Statistically, Kaulig Racing has entered 100 NXS events and has earned one pole award, one top-five, 22 top-10’s and has made the coveted NXS Playoffs each season, finishing seventh (2016), 11th(2017) and 12th(2018).
“We are pumped to secure three races with Ross Chastain,” said Chris Rice, President of Kaulig Racing. “Adding Nutrien Ag Solutions as a partner at Kaulig Racing is huge. I can’t wait for Ross [Chastain] to showcase the Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevy.”
“Nutrien Ag Solutions is committed to helping its growers lead the field season after season,” says Brent Smith, Vice President of Marketing for Nutrien Ag Solutions. “With this partnership, we’ll demonstrate leading the field literally, on the track and off. And throughout our relationship with Kaulig Racing and Ross, we’ll demonstrate that the future of agriculture is full of innovation and opportunities with Nutrien Ag Solutions.”
